Park Fun Day a success!

Kare Henshaw 'on the up'
Working with, and on behalf of, local residents, Libdems Karen and Howard Henshaw have proved to be very keen and active supporters of the regeneration of King George 5 Park on Heeley Road. The FUN and SPORTS DAY on Sunday was a real success. Liberal Democrat influence over the weather ensured a rain-free sunny afternoon and many local people attended. Local residents not only supported the event as a whole but also contributed their views and ideas to the plans for improvements to the park.
Free Face painting was on offer to visitors and there was the opportunity to to develop footballing skills thanks to the YMCA coaching team. Karen Henshaw tried her hand on the climbing wall and the Army's Paint-balling range. After all those exertions 'Jenny's Ice Cream Team had their locally produced award winning Ice Cream on offer !!
Liberal Democrat Councillor Howard Henshaw said "This is a fine example of how the local community should be involved in improving their local environment."
Karen and Howard Henshaw as well as everyone else involved in the Fun and Sports Day are to be commended.
"It was hard work but has been well worth it." commented Karen Henshaw.
