Congratulations to Lib Dem environmental campaigner Anne Fielding who joined a group of volunteers on St Annes' beach on a rare sunny day this week.
The group, led by Dunes Officer Anne Heslop from Lancashire Wildlife Trust, were cutting down Sea Buckthorn to allow the orchids to flourish on the Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) bordering Clifton Drive North. Equipment was provided by the Lancs Wildlife Trust.
The Dunes officer is planning more activities for volunteers and Fylde Libdems are committed to supporting efforts to develop a programme or activities to stabilise the dunes in St. Annes.
