Following a detailed analysis of use it has been decided that Fylde's Community Engagement Vehicle will be initially deployed on a monthly basis in Freckleton and Kirkham.
Timetable:-
1st Tuesday of every month - Freckleton (outside the Coach & Horses Car Park) 10 - 4pm
3rd Thursday of every month - Kirkham (Morrison's Car Park) 10 - 4pm
(This corresponds with market day when Kirkham and nearby residents are more likely to be in the vicinity)
Surgeries commence in January with the first being in Kirkham on the 22nd January.
There remains the possibility of the vehicle visiting Lytham when resources allow.
In the summer the LSP Community Engagement Vehicle was used to provide an outreach service across the Fylde. This partnership initiative was led by Fylde Borough Council and supported by officers from Lancashire County Council, Fylde's One Stop Shop, LSP, the Flowe Project, and Fire and Rescue Service.
The aim of the pilot was to provide information about services available, particularly for members of the community who may find it difficult to access Fylde Borough Council's services. The problem has been exacerbated by the Conservative ruling group who closed Kirkham's One Stop Shop as part of their budget cuts.
