Fylde Libdem Youth Officer Kate Little
Fylde Liberal Democrat Youth representative, Kate Little, of Freckleton has been very busy promoting the Liberal Democrat cause. A few weeks ago she was elected Chair of Liberal Youth Manchester, the youth and student branch covering five local parties as well as Manchester's three universities. Prior to this, she served as Secretary from June 2008, helping to recruit over 200 new members at
Manchester University and Manchester Metropolitan University Freshers' Fairs.
In early October Kate chaired a public meeting sharing the platform with John Leech MP and Nick Clegg MP, Leader of the Liberal Democrats. Over 200 people attended the meeting held at Manchester University Students' Union, and Nick responded well to some unexpected questions from Labour Students! Kate is liaising with John Leech to try and arrange better communication between the five local parties n Manchester and the Liberal Youth branch.
Kate currently represents her Law School on Manchester University Students' Union Council, a position she was elected to by a margin of over 400 votes on a broadly Liberal Democrat platform.
Never one to stand still, Kate has ambitions to take on a full-time Student Union role next year.
