LD gain from Con
A District council by-election In South Cambridge on Thursday saw the Conservative share of the vote drop by 30% which put Liberal Democrat candidate Frances Amrani into the top spot with 39% of the votes cast. A great result.
This result came on top of Tony Clark retaining a Liberal Democrat seat on Barnstaple Town Council with 51% share of the vote.
In recent weeks there have been a number of Liberal Democrat success, with both Labour and the Conservatives ousted from key seats.
Liberal Democrats held on to a seat in Darlington with 51% share of the vote and came very close in Town Council elections in Woodley and Wokingham, losing in one case by only 8 votes!
