By-elections held yesterday in various towns and villages across the country show more good wins for the Liberal Democrats. One of the best results was on Wymondham Town Council where the Liberal Democrats took two seats away from the Conservatives.
A Liberal Democrat councillor also gained a seat on Penketh Parish Council at the expense of the Tories whilst in Newchurch in the Isle of Wight candidate Colin Richards snatched a previously Conservative seat with a majority of 12. Liberal Democrat candidates also held 3 other seats which they were defending.
These results bode well for Fylde Liberal Democrats who will be contesting the Fairhaven Ward very shortly.
