Olympics Star Supports Roads Campaign

Shelly Woods, our local British Paralympic athlete, was a medal winner in the 5000 metres and 1500 metres wheelchair finals in Beijing last year. Shelly trains on our local roads and knows more than most what a poor condition they are in. The Blackpool Gazette reports (May 26th 2009) that Shelly is backing Karen and Howard Henshaw's campaigns to secure better highway and pavement maintenance in Fylde, if they are successful in the County Council elections.
