Leadership up a blind alley

The Conservative policy shambles over Europe should ring warning bells about them governing Britain. Having marginalised Conservative Members of the European Parliament by pulling out of the mainstream conservative inclined group of MEP's to join a group led by Michal Kaminski, a controversial Polish MEP, David Cameron now discovers that Mr. Kaminski believes that the Lisbon Treaty "guarantees Poland's sovereignty". The UK Tories, mouthpieced by William Hague, hate the Lisbon Treaty. But it gets worse. Conservative MEP Edward McMillan-Scott has been expelled from the Conservative Party. The reasons are complex but Mr. MacMillan Scott was opposed to the Tories moving to the new grouping.
