Liberal Democrats winning again

Lib Dems strong inthe NWWhat a fantastic result in the Penrith West Ward of Eden District Council where Liberal Democrat Elissa Robinson thumped the Conservatives (& all the rest) by winning with 51.7% of the vote. Even more satisfying was that this election was called by the BNP after the leader (Independent) of the Council was arrested and resigned. The BNP got about 100 votes in the Euro election here & obviously fancied their chances. We also did well in the Grange Hill Ward of Epping Forest DC increasing our vote by 31.1% largely taken from the Tories. Sadly we just failed to win by a mere 42votes. Next time !!
