Conservative claims for "transparency" are bogus

Lord Ashcroft apparently once declared."If home is where the heart is then Belize is my home" Presumably that is why, although his personal wealth is probably greater than the total income of that country, [it is one of the most impoverished in Central America] he is using the British Courts to try and claw back some £25million from the Belize Government. Nevermind, the Conservatives think so highly of him that he provided the air transport for, and accompanied, William Hague, the Tories Shadow Foreign Secretary on a mission to the USA where Hague met Hilary Clinton & other leading figures in the US foreign affairs team. It has not been disclosed which meetings Lord Ashcroft attended & whom he met. So much for transparency Mr. Cameron. Liberal Democrat, Lord Oakeshott, said " Why is Lord Ashcroft at the heart of Hague's discussions in the US? Refusing to say whether he pays full British taxes and his extreme anti-European views should disqualify him from any Government position.".
