Not a bad way to end the by-election year

Christmas timeIn a Parish Council election in one of our target seats Liberal Democrat Matt Newton comfortably beat off the Conservative challenge. In the only other by-election for Reigate & Banstead Borough Council, our candidate increased the LD share of the vote by 6.6% but it was just not quite enough to take the seat from the Conservatives who saw their vote slip by 12.8%. Two thousand and ten will be an exciting time.
