Local issues continue to get Lib Dem Councillor attention.

March 15, 2010 3:27 PM

As the General Election approaches it is inevitable that this site will focus on National issues but we shouldn't forget that County Cllr Bill Winlow; County & Fylde Borough Cllr. Howard Henshaw and Borough Cllr & Mayor of St. Anne's Tony Ford continue the daily task of representing the concerns of the people of the Borough. St. Anne's swimming pool was much discussed on this site on 7th March and in the Lytham St. Anne's Express on 11th March & doubtless there is more to come. After years of campaigning Devonshire Rd has finally been resurfaced & improvements made to St Leonard's Rd E. The authorities have been alerted to a spate of attacks on soft top vehicles. There are important changes in the next few weeks to the way cardboard recycling is to be handled. A 'Tea with the Mayor' event was hosted by Tony in support of 'Fairtrade fortnight' and the Diana awards were presented to Lytham St. Anne's High School staff & pupils in recognition of the work done on a mentoring programme. Please visit the respective 'blogs' via the links to the left of this page to keep up to date on the full stories.
