Local Liberal Democrats have a superb candidate in Karen Henshaw for the KIlnhouse by-election to Fylde Borough Council to be held on September9th. Karen has a tremendous track record in campaigning for local people - not least over the truly stupid proposal by Conservative controlled Lancs CC to close the St Anne's tip. It is manifestly obvious to anyone whose common sense has not entirely deserted them that the Saltcotes tip is completely incapable of coping with the increased demand. Fylde Conservatives are pretending that they opposed the closure but in February when Karen & other Lib Dems were standing outside the St Annes tip gathering signatures for a petition the local Tory Councillors & our future MP were nowhere to be seen.
