Congratulations to Rosemarie Hollinghurst who took the Albury and Wigginton Ward of Dacorum Borough Council [Hertfordshire] from the Conservatives at a by-election last Thursday. She increased the LibDem share of the vote by 28%. There have been 59 local authority [excluding Town & Parish] by-elections since 25th May. Liberal Democrats have gained seven seats, lost three and successfully defended the others where there was a Lib Dem Councillor prior to the election. Don't believe what sections of the national press say about declining Lib Dem support. Where it matters, at the ballot box, the voter support is strong.
