Campaigning for St Anne's Pool

10.02.00am BST (GMT +0100) Wed 3rd Jun 2009

If you are going to put around false stories about your competitors you need to be careful. Voters memories are not so short that they will have forgotten that LibDem Councillors Henshaw and  Ford vigorously opposed the closure of St. Anne's swimming baths and campaigned with other Lib Dem activists in public protests. Liberal Democrats have been active 'behind the scenes' in pressing for the re-opening of the pool, visiting other operators to see at first hand what options were available. it wasn't the Liberal Democrats who wasted £8000 of council taxpayer's  money on a Parish Poll with a predictable outcome. Still we are used to UKIP being economical with the truth.
