Christine MARSHALL for CARNEGIE

Hi. My name is Christine Marshall and I am standing in the new Carnegie ward representing the Liberal Democrats.

I came to live in Lytham St.Annes with my family in 1960 and attended local schools, Mayfield Primary School and then Queen Mary School Lytham.

I attended Bradford University and received a B.A. degree and then attended Leicester University and received my PGCE.

I went on to teach in Kent and then came back home to teach English at Lytham St.Annes High School (now Lytham St. Annes Technology College).

I taught there for 28 years. So I am very much a local girl.

I left teaching and went to work in London as an Administrative Assistant at the NUT HQ .It was a job I really enjoyed until my retirement.

I retired back to Lytham St.Annes and am now an active member of many societies. Some of you may know me as I have recently become Chair of Lytham St.Annes Civic Society.

I am passionate about ensuring Lytham St Annes is a great place to live and residents concerns are addressed. Some of you may know I campaigned to keep the library in Lytham Institute and am still involved in the campaign to make it a community hub.

If I was elected I would listen to what the residents in Carnegie Ward wanted and their concerns. I am not afraid of speaking out and standing up for what is right. I would be very passionate in preserving the character of the area and looking after it’s heritage.

A vote for me would be a vote for acting with transparency and honesty.

Vote MARSHALL for CARNEGIE
